New staff Twitter feeds

Financial Planner Online has added two personal Twitter accounts for its editorial staff.

@FPM_Kevin is the feed for Financial Planner editor Kevin O’Donnell and @FPM_Laura is the feed for Financial Planner senior staff writer Laura Dew.

They will be covering Financial Planning and wealth management news as well as updates from conferences and events and sharing insights and useful links.

The new feeds will enable more interaction between Financial Planner and its readers and means readers can give more input and feedback on the magazine and website.

They can also get in touch if they have news of their own about their firms.  Financial Planner is the official magazine for the Institute of Financial Planning.

The new Twitter accounts are in addition to the popular and successful news feed @FPM_Online which has almost 1,200 followers and tweets news and alerts from the website.

Mr O’Donnell said: “Our new individual accounts will allow us to get even close to readers and give us a chance to share more of what’s going on in the burgeoning Financial Planning sector.

“For those users already on Twitter all they need to do is click to follow us and for those not yet on Twitter now is the perfect time to sign up. It’s free and useful and many Financial Planners and relevant organisations are using Twitter extensively.”

Twitter is a microblogging site enabling users to send and receive messages of 140 characters. Around 65m tweets are sent each day around the world.

If you are on Twitter, search @FPM_Kevin and @FPM_Laura and start following now. See you there!
